Text Messaging with PhoneTree

As Easy As Email
Along with voice message delivery, PhoneTree (models 2500 and 3500 only) systems give you the option to include
a companion email with your calls, giving your contacts the option to receive your messages in their preferred
format. When setting up any calling job, including an email is as easy as selecting the "Include
an email" option in the PhoneTree Call Wizard. Just type your message, and your contacts with emails
will see your words in their inboxes. This is a great add-on to voice messages, giving you the ability
to say, "...and be sure to check your email" for added impact.
Send Them A Text!
PhoneTree's email functionality also gives you the power to send text messages as well as voice and email
messages. Your contacts get a handy text note delivered right to their cell phones — and it's just
as easy for you as sending an email. All you do is type your message, and send it to any cell phone address.
For example, Mary is a Verizon customer and her phone number is 888.555.1212. You just include the email
address 8885551212@vtext.com in your list of recipients and Mary will be reading your text message.
Note: texting is not supported at this time for PhoneTree Patient Messaging or healthcare applications.
